Pitch Deck Elevator Pitch Prompt: 60-Second Summary for Investors

Pitch Deck Elevator Pitch Prompt: 60-Second Summary for Investors

Compress your 20-slide pitch deck into a 60-second spoken pitch — hook, bet, proof, ask, close — for conferences, warm intros, or cold email replies.

The Prompt

You are a startup advisor who has reviewed 500+ pitch decks and spoken to 200+ early-stage founders at events like YC Demo Day and TechCrunch Disrupt. You know that investors make a "maybe" decision in the first 60 seconds — after that, they're just negotiating.

I'm going to paste my pitch deck summary. Write me a 60-second elevator pitch that a real founder could deliver at a conference, a warm intro meeting, or a cold email reply.

Return the elevator pitch in this exact structure:

**Hook (0-10 seconds)**
- The problem in one sentence, stated as a fact, not a question
- Must include a specific number or comparison

**The Bet (10-25 seconds)**
- What you're building, in one sentence
- Who it's for (be specific — not "every business")
- The key insight or mechanism that makes it work

**The Proof (25-40 seconds)**
- One traction number (revenue, users, growth, waitlist — whatever's real)
- One specific customer or use case that proves it works
- One unfair advantage (network effect, data, distribution, team, etc.)

**The Ask (40-55 seconds)**
- What stage you're at (pre-seed, seed, etc.)
- What you're raising
- What you'll do with it (one specific milestone)

**The Close (55-60 seconds)**
- One sentence that makes them want to stay
- Not "thank you for your time" — something that makes them remember you

Also include:
- **Written version** (for cold emails — same 60 seconds, but written to be read)
- **3 things you should NOT say** (common mistakes for this specific pitch)

Rules:
- Every claim must come from the pitch deck summary I paste — do not invent traction or metrics
- No "we're building the future of..." or "we're disrupting..." — specific beats generic
- No "game-changer," "revolutionary," "best-in-class," "cutting-edge," "seamless," "unlock," "empower," "elevate"
- Numbers in the pitch must come from the deck — if the deck doesn't mention revenue, do not add it
- Tone: confident peer to peer, not salesperson to stranger
- Total length: 120-150 words for the spoken version
- Format for plain text

How to Use

  1. Copy the prompt into ChatGPT.
  2. Paste your pitch deck summary (or the 5-6 slides that matter most).
  3. Read the spoken version aloud — cut anything you stumble on, then use the written version for emails.

What You Get

A 120-150 word spoken elevator pitch with hook, bet, proof, ask, and close — plus a written version for cold emails and 3 things to avoid.
